Ceramicist Rachel Saunders is closing down her studio

The studio of Rachel Saunders a ceramicist who has gained a cult following over the past eight years, announced that she would be closing her studio via social media on Monday, May 8th. 

The British-Colombia-based ceramicist will be moving on to different opportunities and ventures including focusing on her online membership community. 

Saunders's musings, ceramics, and lifestyle captured the affections of many, from artists' residences in Greece, to poem-like musings drawing comparisons between life and clay.

Bespoke, handmade ceramic pieces Saunders manages to project a feeling of balance and calm through her lifestyle and objects. 

In a modern-day culture focused on high-octane information, work, and activities Saunders's work focuses on promoting a deep sense of relaxation, and connection or disconnection from habitual actions.

Her iconic phone home was designed to provide an aesthetic ceramic space that doubles as a decor piece and space to charge and place one's phone. Ceramic massage bars, mugs, and vases all embody a pleasing blend of beauty and functionality. 

Hand-crafted in small batches in her studio, they convey a deep sense of gratitude for the small pleasures in life such as flower arranging or enjoying a cosy drink. 

The ceramics will be available to purchase online with final order dates ranging from May 19th to June 4th 2023.
